Program Options

As an agriculture major you'll take Core Program courses that give a foundation upon which to build your career. These courses in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences will help you develop a comprehensive view of agriculture, regardless of your program emphasis.

We offer bachelor of arts degrees in agriculture with seven different emphases. We also offer a two-year associate degree and support a pre-veterinary program.

Pre-veterinary medicine program — Our agriculture program offers courses that support the professional programs of veterinary schools. Since different programs have different requirements, you'll plan your program to fit the school you'll attend.

Associate of agriculture — For this two-year associate degree in agriculture, you'll take eight agriculture courses along with Core education requirements. Some A.A. graduates move directly into a job after graduation; others continue their education in a bachelor's degree program at Dordt or elsewhere.

You can also combine interests in agriculture and engineering.
