Wolterstorff Earns All-District Honor

(Thursday, January 31; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Trevor Wolterstorff (Senior; Sioux Center, Iowa) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District team in the college division.

The program takes into account academic athletic performance.  To be eligible a student must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average.

Wolterstorff has started in 25 games this season and has a 13.8 points per game average to go with a team high 6.8 rebounds and makes 57.8 percent of his field goals.  He ranks second all-time in scoring at Dordt College and is fourth all-time in rebounding.  He is a psychology major and has a 3.82 grade point average entering his final semester at Dordt College.

During his career Wolterstorff has earned all-American honors from the NAIA twice and has been an all-GPAC selection three times.  He was an NAIA Scholar-Athlete in basketball and track last season.  Wolterstorff currently ranks second all-time at Dordt College in scoring and fourth in rebounding.

Wolterstorff is now eligible for Capital One Academic All-American honors which will be voted on by Co-SIDA membership in February.  Co-SIDA is the national sports information director’s  organization.
