Dordt Volleyball Adds VandenBosch
February 13, 2014
(Thursday, February 13; Sioux Center, Iowa) Kasey VandenBosch, a senior at Cedar Rapids Xavier High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender volleyball program.
VandenBosch was a three-year letter winner at Xavier and helped them to a Iowa High School State Volleyball Tournament berth in 2012 and a pair of MVC Division Championships in 2012 and 2013. She totaled 450 kills as a junior and senior while playing both rightside and outside hitter. VandenBosch also played for the Eastern Iowa Xtreme Club team.
“We are excited to have Kasey join us as she continues a family history of Dordt College connections. Her abilities as an outside hitter and back row ball control athlete will complement our program. She has experienced wonderful success through her Cedar Rapids Xavier high school program under the direction of coaches Barb Sullivan and Krista Johnson. Further, her involvement through club volleyball programs including the Eastern Iowa Extreme under coach Marc Neef has helped to expand her volleyball talent,” said Dordt College volleyball coach Chad Hanson.
Kasey is the daughter of Dan and Sandy VandenBosch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
