Folkerts To Join Defender Track

(Friday, February 28; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Jordan Folkerts, a senior at Western Christian High School (Iowa),  has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender track and field program.

Folkerts has  personal best of 6-4 in the high jump and has qualified three times for the Iowa High School State track meet.  In 2013 Folkerts placed sixth and in 2012 he was seventh.  He has earned all-conference honors from the Lakes Conference twice in the high jump.

Jordan is the son of Todd and Dawn Folkerts of Inwood, Iowa.  He plans to study agriculture at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
