Warntjes To Join Defender Football Program

(Tuesday, March 18; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Timothy Warntjes, a 2013 graduate of Western Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College.

Warntjes, a 5-11, 205 pound defensive end, earned all-district and all-academic honors for the 2012 season and was in on 45 tackles with a quarterback sack and fumble recovery. 

Timothy Warntjes is the son of Daryl and LaVonne Warntjes of Hull, Iowa.  He plans to study computer science at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
