Eichman Added To Dordt Football

(Tuesday, April 1; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Ty Eichman, a senior at Dayspring Christian Academy (Colorado), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Eichman ran for 940 yards, had 604 yards receiving and totaled 473 return yards.  All totaled he had 2,600 all-purpose yards. Defensively, Eichman had 86 tackles and 13 interceptions.  He was named the Colorado 8-Man Player of the Year and was the only 8-player athlete selected to play in the 2013 Colorado 11-Man All-Star Game.  Eichman was an all-conference and all-state selection in 2013 and an all-conference honorable mention pick in 2012. 

Eichman helped Dayspring Christian Academy to three straight conference titles and state championships in 2011 and 2013.

Ty is the son of Anne and Eric Eichman of Ault, Colorado.  He plans to study agriculture at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
