Women's Soccer Adds Patterson

Anisa Patterson, a senior at Christian Unified High School (El Cajon, CA), recently announced her intention to attend Dordt College and to join the Defender women's soccer program.

Patterson, a 5'2" outside defender and outside midfielder, helped the Patriots to an 11-8-5 mark last season and a berth into the CIF Division III quarterfinals.  This past season Christian Unified finished in second place in their league and were finalists in the Barons Tournament.

During her senior season, Patterson tallied four goals and added two assists from her defensive position and was honored by being named a first team all-league selection.

Patterson also has 10 years of experience at the club level, playing for the United Futbol Club in San Diego, California, the club is currently ranked eleventh in California South by GotSoccer.  The club has multiple tournament championships  in the last 12 months including: G18 Lady Luck Players Showcase, Nott's Forest Labor Day Cup, San Diego United Summer Challenge and the Arsenal FC Summer Classic.  The club also finished fifth in the U19 Flight 1 San Diego Developmental Academy tournament.

Anisa's mother is Riva Calleja and her stepmother is Deb Patterson and Anisa plans on majoring in Nursing at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
