Fried-Ochoa To Join Defender Football

(Friday, April 11; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Christopher Fried-Ochoa, a senior at Idaho Falls High School (Idaho), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Fried-Ochoa earned honorable mention all-District 5-6 honors in 2013 and took the High Country Conference All Academic award in 2012 and 2013.  Idaho Falls qualified for the state playoffs in 2013 after posting a 2-9 record in 2012.  Fried-Ochoa is listed 6-3 and 240 pounds.  He played multiple positions on the offensive line.

Christopher is the son of Allen and Silvia Fried of Idaho Falls, Idaho.  He plans to study political science at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
