Dordt College students work with junior high students at Minn-i-kota retreat
May 8, 2014
Seventeen Dordt College students served as student leaders at this year’s Minn-i-kota Youth Retreat at Inspiration Hills April 11 to 13. The leaders held several activities with small groups of five to eight middle school students including worship, dramas, games, and small group reflection.
On one afternoon, students did service projects that included collecting donations for a food drive, yard work, and window washing.
Dordt College sophomore Marissa Leduc says, “It was incredible to see the students seek after their relationship with Jesus on their own.”
Minn-i-kota Youth organization exists as a network of area churches that facilitates and supports local youth ministry and programs of Youth Unlimited.
Kandace Brands and Lee De Groot are the youth coordinators for Minn-i-kota Youth.
