Malinowski To Join Defender Softball

(Wednesday, June 11; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Amanda Malinowski, a recent graduate of Arrowhead Christian Academy (California), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender softball program.

Malinowski batted .500 with a slugging percentage of .727.  She was picked to the Redlands First-Team in 2012 and the All Inland team in 2013.  She claimed Ambassador All League honors in 2012 and 2014 and was the Redlands All-City Utility Player of the Year in 2012.

Amanda is the daughter of Scott and Celina Malinowski and Suzan Garrido and Juan Garrido.  She plans to study nursing at Dordt College and calls Yucaipa, California her hometown.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
