Database Administrator

Dordt College has a full-time opening for a Database Administrator (DBA). The DBA will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operations of the campus information system.

Responsibilities include database programming and maintenance, administering various Linux systems, VMware cluster, and other related systems, and providing technical support for end users.

Related training, education or experience is required. A working knowledge of HTML, Java, PHP or Perl, SQL, Apache, Linux, VMware and Windows is required. Research skills and the ability to understand functional business areas when designing programs for end users are also required.

Head Soccer Coach

Dordt College has an opening for a Head Soccer Coach. Dependent on the needs of the college and the related experience of the individual hired, this position may be full or part-time. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the development and growth of the menís soccer program at Dordt College and bring knowledge and passion of the game of soccer to students, with a commitment to excellence and bringing Glory to God.

If full-time, this individual would have some additional duties assisting the Sports Information Director or other areas within the Athletic Department.

Stepping Stones Paraeducator

Stepping Stones, operated by Dordt College, is searching for an individual who is passionate about working with young children to fill a part-time opening as a paraeducator.

The Paraeducator will be responsible for assisting with the planning and teaching of children enrolled in the school. Preference will be given to candidates holding a CDA or coursework in early childhood education. This position will be for approximately 25% of full-time or 520 hours per year with most of the hours between September and May.

Systems Administrator

The Computer Services Department at Dordt College is seeking someone to fill the full-time role of Systems Administrator. This individual will be primarily responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the data center and computer network to ensure that college support staff, faculty, and students have the computer resources necessary for their tasks.

Related training, education or experience is required. Candidates should possess a strong commitment to being a team player, ability to meet deadlines, and work with a wide range of customer expectations and skills. Some physical skills are necessary for moving computers and equipment within the data center.
