Program Options
- Music Education — If students are passionate about teaching, this option will prepare them for successful teaching as choral directors in junior high or high school, as instrumental directors in grade school through high school, or as general music teachers in elementary school.
- Performance and Pedagogy — This option prepares students for careers in performance and teaching in a specific performing area (voice, piano, organ, or other instrument). They are equipped for further performance study in graduate school and for successful private teaching.
- Music Management — Preparation in both music and business skills equips students for management positions with professional music organizations.
- Church Music — This major prepares students for leadership in churches and for service as organists, pianists, or directors of choral or instrumental ensembles.
- General Music — This option provides a broad education in music academics and performance rather than being directed toward a particular career.
- Performance Minor — This minor provides outstanding musicians who are working on a major outside of music with the opportunity to achieve a high performance level and to present a solo recital.
- General Music Minor —This option provides the interested student with a variety of performance opportunities and academic classes.
