Physics studies how our physical world works. By experimenting, modeling, and theorizing, physicists develop ways to understand, describe, and predict physical behavior. At Dordt College, physics students learn to experience the beauty and elegance of how simple theories can be used to solve an infinite variety of problems. They learn to see God’s glory displayed in the physical world.

Learning physics can be challenging, but Dordt’s physics faculty use a variety of innovative activities, experiments, demonstrations, and teaching techniques to help you master the information you’ll need to work in a physics-related vocation. Our professors are readily available to help, even outside of class.
