Nice was named the head Dordt College women's golf coach in 2009, shortly after the school announced the offering of the sport. Nice attained PGA membership in June 2002 after two years of being a PGA apprentice. Prior to working at The Ridge Golf Club, Nice was the head golf pro at Short Hills Country Club in East Moline, Illinois. He held the same position at Crow Valley Golf Club in Davenport, Iowa, and he was an assistant at the Sioux City Country Club in Sioux City, Iowa. In all of those positions Nice was heavily involved in teaching men and women and directing junior golf programs.

Nice, a South Sioux City native and Briar Cliff University graduate, has a decorated playing and instructional career. Nice qualified for the NAIA National Meet while playing at Briar Cliff and qualified for two Nike Tour Events at the Dakota Dunes near Sioux City and continues to compete at the PGA Section tournament level. He qualified for the National PGA Club Professional Championship in June 2010 with a third place finish at the 2010 Nebraska Section Championship.
