Visser To Run For Dordt College

(Friday, January 11; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Emily Visser, a senior at Lynden Christian High School (Washington), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender cross country and track programs.


Visser has personal bests in cross country of 21:07 on a 5,000 meter course and 14:14 on a 3,000 meter course.  She also ran the 200 meters in track and field in :29.04.  She qualified for the state meet in the 4 x 200 meter relay twice.  Visser was a part of teams that earned the WIAA Outstanding Scholastic Award in cross country four times and track and field three times.

Emily is daughter of Mark and Carrie Visser.  She plans to study business at Dordt College.
