Dordt Basketball No. 12 In Poll

(Wednesday, January 16; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender men’s basketball team is no.12 in the most recent NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll released late Tuesday, January 15.

The Defenders have a 16-4 record this season and garnered 224 points in the poll voted on by 13 coaches representing conferences nationally.  Dordt split its two games last week and will play a pair of conference games this week, facing Mount Marty on the road on Wednesday, January 17, and hosting Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday, January 19.

The Defenders are one of three GPAC teams in the poll this week.  Northwestern is no. 5, up two spots from last week, and Doane is no. 17.  Briar Cliff and Hastings are both receiving votes in the poll.
