Rasnic Commits To Dordt College

Joey Rasnic, a sophomore at Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC), has announced his intention to transfer to Dordt College and join the Defender men’s soccer program.

Rasnic is a 5,9”, 180 pound goalkeeper for WNCC and is a graduate of Gering High School in Nebraska.  Rasnic finished his sophomore season at WNCC with 132 saves  for the Cougars, good for 6th in the nation amongst junior college goalkeepers, and was named an all-region player in JUCO Region 9.

In Rasnic’s senior year of high school he ended with 118 saves and was named player of the week on three separate occasions.  Rasnic holds records at Gering High School for most saves in a season, most saves in a game and most saves in a career.

Rasnic has also played for the Reccos Futbol Club for 10 season helping his side to seven tournament championships.

Joey is the son of Todd and Nancy Rasnic of Gering, Nebraska and he plans to major in Agricultural Science.
