Dordt Men In National Poll

(Tuesday, December 3; Sioux Center, Iowa)  The Dordt College Defender men’s basketball team is no. 12 in the first in-season NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 poll released late Tuesday, December 3.

The Defenders, off to a 10-1 start, took 238 points in the polling and moved out of the non-rated ranks.  The Defenders are one of three GPAC teams in the top-25 with Hastings holding the no. eight spot while Midland is no. 16 in this week’s poll.    St. Xavier (Illinois) was one spot in front of the Defenders with 248 points and Embry-Riddle (Florida) was the no. one team in the country with seven first place votes.

Dordt will host Briar Cliff on Wednesday, December 4 at the De Witt Gym.  Briar Cliff was in the receiving votes portion of the poll that was the first to be released since the pre-season balloting in late October.
