Assistant and Graduate Assistant Volleyball Coaches

Dordt College is accepting applications for positions in our Menís and Womenís Volleyball programs.

Individuals in these positions will be expected to assist in the recruiting process, varsity practices and games, manage the JV program, implement extensive summer camps, work individually and with small groups of players, maintain social media network, and breakdown game film.

A Bachelorís degree along with 1-3 years of experience is required along with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with student athletes, athletic officials, and college constituents.

The part-time positions would entail approximately 400 hours at an hourly rate.

For the Graduate Assistant position, a Bachelorís degree in Education along with admission to the Dordt College Master of Education program is required. The position is a 2 year commitment with annual review. Director for the Dordt College Center for Economic Education

Dordt College seeks an individual to provide leadership for the Dordt College Center for Economic Education (DCCEE).This position will be approximately 40-50% of full-time. (20 hours per week)

The Director will manage and develop the DCCEE by supervising students who participate, lead and direct teacher training on-site and in workshops, organize and direct competitions, maintain media sources, and grow relationships with Iowa schools.

A BA in Education, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred. A confident professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize work, delegate, and maintain a schedule is required.

Director of Financial Aid

Dordt College seeks an individual to provide leadership and direction in the development and application of financial aid policies as Director of Financial Aid. The Director will work with a dedicated team to help students and families understand that a Dordt College education is affordable and valuable.

The Director will think creatively and entrepreneurially about financial aid, collaborate with other offices to maximize enrollment, retention and fund-raising efforts, maintain a working knowledge of financial aid policies and practices, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and develop and implement a financial aid awarding strategy. Additionally, the Director will meet with parents and students and supervise the Financial Aid office staff.

A BA in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance as well as five years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid at a private college is preferred. Research, analytic, accounting and communication skills are required along with the ability to lead and plan.

Dordt College seeks an individual to serve as Director of Residence Life in the Student Services office.

The Director provides leadership in student development and is committed to the holistic Christ-centered development of students aligned with the mission of the college. The Director will supervise and train the professional residential life staff, oversee and resolve housing issues, concerns and problems, administer discipline, and direct the Student Activities Committee and Campus Security programs.

Dordt College seeks an individual to serve as Discipleship Coordinator in the Student Services office.

The Coordinator will assist the Dean of Chapel in developing a Christian residential academic community. The Coordinator will supervise and advise students involved in small group ministries, prayer, discipleship, and missions.

The individual in this position will be expected to assist during practices, coordinate offense/defense, design and implement training with offense and keepers, help organize and conduct off-season conditioning programs, and assist with summer camps. In addition, the graduate assistant will manage game film.

Graduate Assistant Track Coach

Dordt College is currently seeking an individual to work as a Graduate Assistant coach in the track and field program. The position is a 2 year commitment with annual review. Jumping/Hurdle/Pole Vault Coach
Seeking an individual with jumping (long and triple)/hurdle/pole vault experience and a passion and willingness to learn technical aspects of these field events.

Duties include being responsible for the development of a training program and technical instruction for 15-20 college athletes. Hours are approximately 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday from January 15 through May 1, with some Saturday meets included. Off-season coaching may also be available.

A bachelorís degree in Education and admission into Dordtís Master of Education program is required. Past experience coaching and/or participating in jumps/hurdles/pole vault is desired.

KDCR Station Manager & Audio Operations Leader

Dordt College is seeking an individual to lead the successful 24/7/365 operation of the college media station which currently includes audio broadcasting, with both terrestrial and web-enabled signals under the KDCR Radio banner. This highly motivated individual will be expected to provide leadership for media operations on campus, including strategic planning, content oversight, operational leadership, financial performance, and educational partnerships to support the mission of the college.

A Bachelorís degree in Broadcast Communications with a minimum of 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills as well as leadership skills for training and supervising student employees. Fundraising experience with complimentary public relations skills are desired.

Theatre Arts Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

Dordt College seeks an individual to provide part-time administrative support to the Theatre Arts department.

This individual will handle scheduling, maintain financial records, manage box office tickets and sales, coordinate marketing efforts, supervise work study students, plan trips, and assist with various clerical tasks. This position will be 4 days or 25 hours per week during the school year, with some occasional evening and weekend work required. Summer work is limited Ė 1 day/week.

A bachelorís degree is desired but not required. An equivalent combination of related education and experience will be considered. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required along with an interest in or experience in theatre. Strong computer and bookkeeping skills are desired as well as an interest and ability to work as a part of a creative and artistic team.
