A. Students earn two degrees in four years, the ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from St. Luke's College, and the BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from Dordt College.

A. Yes, both St. Luke's and Dordt's nursing programs are nationally accredited and approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing.

Q. Where do nursing students live?

A. Dordt's nursing students live in Dordt campus housing all four years.

Q. Since I live in Sioux Center, how do I get to my clinicals at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center?

A. Students carpool, depending on when their clinicals are scheduled, and Dordt reimburses them for miles driven.

Q. What can I expect regarding the exam and employment after graduation?

A. You will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam upon graduating from St. Luke's College. Our nursing graduates score above the national average on the NCLEX-RN exam and have a 100 percent employment rate.

Q. What will my BSN allow me to do after graduation?

A. Work in the field, enroll in graduate programs, and take on nurse educator or administrative roles.
