Program Options

As a physics major, you will take courses in calculus and differential equations, two chemistry courses, and at least seven physics courses covering

You’ll also take a course in philosophical and historical perspectives in the physical sciences and have the option of taking additional courses in electronics, physical chemistry, materials science, engineering, and mathematics.

Some students opt to combine a physics major with a major in chemistry, math, biology, philosophy, or engineering. Individual studies and research course work are also possible, as are summer research experience opportunities offered at Dordt or at universities across the continent.
