Dordt to launch new Defenders athletic logo

Dordt College will unveil a new athletic identity for its sports teams at “Late Night with the Defenders” on Friday, Oct. 19, during Parents Weekend. Late Night with the Defenders is an annual event that packs the bleachers for a high-energy evening of basketball scrimmages among men’s and women’s basketball teams. It starts at 10:30 p.m. and features a dunking competition and audience participation competitions for prizes.

The new logo will be introduced around midnight, between the varsity game and dunking competition. Attendees will have an opportunity to win a t-shirt after the unveiling. Additional merchandise with the new logo will be available from the Dordt Bookstore the following day.

Admission to the event is $1 and is a fundraiser for Dordt College Athletics.
