ALUMNI WEEKEND

Business Connections Breakfast

Alumni Weekend will be held in combination with Parents Weekend October 18 and 19, 2013. The information below is from last year's event. We will update the information once it is available.

Alumni Business Connections breakfast

Friday, September 28, at 6:45 a.m. in the De Yager Activity Area of the Campus Center. Our topic of discussion will be "Healthcare in America." Our guest panelists will be Jerry De Wit ('76), a physical therapist from Le Mars, Iowa; Dr. Mark Link ('82), a physician from Boston, Massachusetts, and one of this year's Distinguished Alumni at Dordt College; Dr. Mick Vanden Bosch ('85), a physician from Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Glenn Zevenbergen ('89), CEO and administrator at Hegg Memorial Health Center in Rock Valley, Iowa.

Talking points for the discussion might include:

1. Is it a broken system?

2. What should small businesses do with healthcare for employees?

3. Is a single payer system the best option?

4. What would be your recommendations for the healthcare system in the U.S.?

It's a free breakfast and a great chance to network with other alumni and participate in an interesting discussion that is very relevant to what is happening in our country today. If you would like to come, please RSVP to Wes Fopma, director of alumni relations, at Wes.Fopma@dordt.edu or call (712) 722-6028.
