Van Maanen started coaching at Dordt College in 2011-12 as an assistant for the Dordt College men’s varsity basketball program and will serve as head coach of the men’s junior varsity team. Van Maanen graduated from Dordt College in 2006 and taught for five school years at Coral Springs Christian Academy (Florida) where he coached junior varsity basketball and was an assistant coach for the varsity basketball team. He spent two seasons in the Dordt basketball program as a player and four years in the baseball program. Brent also teaches K-8 Physical Education at Orange City Christian School.
