High School Choral Festival at Dordt College April 11

April 4, 2014

The biennial Dordt College High School Choral Festival will be held Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m.

Six Christian high school choirs will participate in the festival, including Central Wisconsin, Pella, Sioux Falls, Southwest Minnesota, Unity (Orange City), and Western (Hull). Each school will perform individually in the B.J. Haan Auditorium, and the Dordt College Bella Voce, Kantorei, Chorale, and Concert Choir will also perform.

For the conclusion of the festival, nearly 500 student performers and the audience will make their way to the De Witt Gymnasium for a mass choral performance under the direction of Dordt College Professor of Music Dr. Benjamin Kornelis.

The high school students will spend the day on campus, rehearsing and attending clinic sessions led by the Dordt College music faculty.

The concert is free and open to the public.
