PRAIRIE GRASS CHALLENGE
Welcome to the 2014 Prairie Grass Film Challenge!
Now in its 8th year, the Prairie Grass Film Challenge promises to be more exciting than ever. In the works is an extreme makeover of the Awards Ceremony, and our leadership team has a few surprises up their collective sleeves for the 48-hour competition in January.
The dates, you ask?
48-Hour slot to make your film begins at 4 p.m. on January 16 and ends at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 18.
The Awards Ceremony begins with screenings (2014 Screening Schedule) all over campus at 5:45 on Friday, February 21, with the big awards gala kicking off at 8 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium at Dordt College.
So, how does it work?
The 48-Hour competition has three categories, just like previous years:
1. High School
Some of you may remember that last year, we experimented with a 480-Hour (approximately three weeks) competition. Yes, it was great, yes, it was fun, yes, we received some good films, but no, we’re not doing it again this year. It was something we wanted to try but now we want to get back to the core of this event, which is the 48-hour, adrenaline-packed competition that we’ve all come to know and love.
So, without further ado, we urge you to register then check out all the fine details you’ll need to know.
Are you ready to make a film!?
