PRAIRIE GRASS CHALLENGE
The screening is the highlight of the competition. This is when you see the work of other teams and show your hard work to the world. An emcee will host the evening, and corporate sponsors will be acknowledged and thanked. Plan on a lot of people enjoying your creative work in this exciting competition.
NEW FOR 2013: Reflecting categories for high school films, college films, and post-college films, the awards ceremony will feature the screening of at least six films in the B.J. Haan Auditorium consisting of the judges' pick of runner up and best of show for high school, college, and post-college.
On Friday, February 15, 2013, all eligible entries in the 2013 Prairie Grass Film Challenge will be screened in viewing rooms located around Dordt College. The night will end in the B.J. Haan Auditorium where the winners will be presented and shown. This is a free screening, open to the public. Bring your team, your friends, your parents, and anyone else. Enjoy the camaraderie of others who were crazy enough to spend a weekend making a film. Let the world see your creation.
Prairie Grass Film Challenge officials will screen entries in random order. The evening will culminate with the judges' announcements. Judging will take place before the screening. Judges' decisions will be announced after the screening.
Submissions that did not win on the night of screening and that are chosen by judges as possible Peoples' Choice Award nominees will be posted on the Film Challenge website for voting. Voting will be stopped on a date to be announced and the winners of the Peoples' Choice Award will be notified. A check will be sent to the team that wins.
The winning videos (Best of Show, Runner Up) and all other eligible entries will remain on the Film Challenge website, along with the names of the winners of the Peoples' Choice Award. Winning entries will become part of the permanent archive of the Prairie Grass Film Challenge website.
