A 2000 Sioux Center High School graduate, Kyle Hiemstra went on to play basketball for Northwestern, where he was a part of a national title team and also appeared in a final four and the elite eight. Hiemstra earned all-conference honors at both the high school and college level and was an all-state honoree in high school. Kyle and his wife Traci own and operate the Taco John's and Subway in Orange City and Sioux Center. Traci serves as an assistant volleyball coach.
