Perkins Loans

Amount: The maximum amount an eligible student may borrow is $4,000 per award year.

Students who are enrolled at least half-time, are in good academic standing, are U.S. citizens, and demonstrate financial need according to the FAFSA are eligible.

This loan is interest free while the student is enrolled at least half time (6 credit hours) and the interest rate is set at 5%. Repayment is made over a period of ten years with minimum payments of $40 per month. Payments begin six months after schooling ends.
