Christian education helps equip God's people to enjoy God's creation, to learn and grow constantly, and to contribute to building God's kingdom. My passion is bringing Christian education to all ages, including young adults and older adults. I've enjoyed teaching writing and critical thinking as a high school teacher in Florida and Iowa. I love teaching future teachers, which I did extensively in Indiana before joining the Dordt faculty in 2014. And I get a special thrill in working with adult and graduate students, something I also experienced extensively in Indiana.

At Dordt I teach undergrad philosophy of education and graduate curriculum courses and direct the graduate program for teachers. I also bring to Dordt my experiences in program assessment, accreditation, and new program development.
