Dordt receives honors in international print competition

July 12, 2012

Dordt College has been awarded two Certificates of Merit in the 2012 Premier Print Awards for the 2011 Signet Yearbook and for the president’s report and Vision 2020 campaign wrap-up From Jubilee to Jubilation.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality, award-winning materials,” said Director of Dordt College’s Copy Center Services Fred Haan. “Our graphic designer, Jamin Ver Velde, and the marketing staff do excellent work, and it’s great to see the fruits of their labor being recognized in this way.”

The Premier Print Awards is the graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition, hosted by Printing Industries of America. The awards recognize those responsible for the creation and production of outstanding print communications.

“Each year, the field of entries brings impressive work from some of the best printers in the world. Only a small number of companies receive an award,” said Michael Makin, president and CEO of Printing Industries of America. “The craftsmanship and hard work of Dordt College enabled them to produce an award-winning piece in the face of some very stiff competition.”

More than a thousand entries were received from around the world.
