Forbes.com lists Dordt College as a “Top College”

August 13, 2012

Dordt College is again named to the annual 650 “America’s Top Colleges” list by Forbes.com. These rankings include the top 20 percent of undergraduate institutions nationally. Dordt also appeared on the Top Private Colleges and the Top in the Midwest Colleges lists.

Rankings are compiled by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity and focus on five general categories: post graduate success (with an evaluative weight of 32.5 percent), student satisfaction (27.5 percent), debt (17.5 percent), four-year graduation rate (11.25 percent), and competitive awards (11.25 percent).

At Dordt College, faculty form close relationships with students and offer an academically challenging and supportive atmosphere. Upon graduation, students average $21,900 in debt, a figure that is lower than the national average and lower than many state universities. Even in today’s uncertain economic times, 97 percent of all Dordt graduates find a job or go on to graduate school within six months of graduation.
