Dordt College is included in Washington Monthly rankings

July 19, 2012

Dordt College has been listed among the top baccalaureate colleges in the country by Washington Monthly, making Dordt one of only 352 colleges in the county to make the list in 2012.

The magazine publishes rankings of national universities, liberal arts colleges, master’s universities, and baccalaureate colleges. The rankings are based on the magazine’s measure of each institution’s commitment to research and service as well as alumni social mobility.

“Dordt College takes seriously God’s call to be active in our culture,” said Dr. Erik Hoekstra, president of Dordt College. “It’s affirming to have Washington Monthly recognize that the Dordt curricular and co-curricular programs help students realize that part of their discipleship is serving others as volunteers in a variety of areas.”

The college has consistently been named to Top College listings by Washington Monthly,, US News & World Report, and Princeton Review. To learn more about Dordt College visit
