Post-Season Honors For Dordt Men's Soccer

(Monday, November 12; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Brady Van Holland (Sophomore; Sioux Falls, South Dakota) heads a list of eight Dordt College soccer players earning post-season honors in voting done by the Great Plains Athletic Conference coaches.

Van Holland had six goals and eight assists this season while helping the Defenders to a 10-8-1 overall mark and a 6-3-1 record in the GPAC and earned first-team all-GPAC honors for his efforts.
Eric Grootenboer (Junior; Chatham, Ontario) claimed second team honors after scoring 11 goals and assisting on another four.

Jon Brinkerhoff (Sophomore; Branchville, New Jersey), Cameron Stuive (Sophomore; Hudsonville, Michigan), Scott Van Wylen (Senior; Hudsonville, Michigan), Josh Brinkerhoff (Senior; Branchville, New Jersey), David Riley (Senor; Mount Vernon, Washington) and David Miedema (Senior; Zeeland, Michigan) all claimed honorable mention honors.

Jon Brinkerhoff played every minute in goal for the Defenders this season and allowed 1.6 goals per-90 minutes played and made 92 saves.  Stuive played defense for the Defenders and had an assist.

Van Wylen scored five goals and had six assists in his final season for the Defenders. Josh Brinkerhoff had ten goals and accounted for two assists in his senior campaign.  Riley scored three goals and Miedema had one goal and three assists for the Defenders.
