Durbin Signs With Defender Men's Soccer

AlexDurbin with parents, Scott and Jodi and HS Coach Nick Bratt Durbin, a senior at Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender men's soccer program.

Durbin is a 5'9" midfielder and has tallied 6 goalss and 4 assists in 3 high school seasons, lettering each year for the Burke Bulldogs.  Durbin has played 8 years of club soccer with the Omaha FC  94/95 Elite 1 team and helped his squad to 4 straight Nebraska State Cup championships.  Durbin was an honorable mention for the Omaha World Herald Class A Team and also received the Coach's Choice Award in 2012.  Alex was a member of the 2008 and 2009 Nebraksa State Olympic Development Program team.

Durbin, who is a member of the National Honor Society and was a 2011-2012 NSAA Academic All State Award recipient, plans to major in engineering at Dordt College and his parents are Scott and Jodi Durbin of Omaha, Nebraska.
