Hoogland To Join Dordt Softball

(Wednesday, February 13; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Michal Hoogland, a senior at Calvin Christian High School (Michigan), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender softball program.

Hoogland batted .404 last season with a .461 on base percentage and had 35 runs batted.  She’s been a four-year varsity team performer and had a .390 batting average  and 29 runs batted in as a sophomore.  Hoogland earned honorable mention all-state honors last season and was an all-district and all-conference performer in her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.  She has played 3rd base and 1st base during her career at Calvin Christian.

Michal is the daughter of Leon and Faye Hoogland of Grandville, Michigan.  She plans to study mathematics at Dordt College.
