February 22, 2013

(Friday, February 22; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Hope Kramer, a senior at Unity Christian High School (Iowa),  has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender volleyball program.

Kramer earned second-team all-conference honors in 2011 and 2012 along with Academic All-State honors this past season.  She had a .322 kill efficiency in 2012 and averaged 2.8 digs per set while playing outside hitter and left back on defense.  Her serve receive percentage of 93.29 ranks among Unity’s career leaders.

"“Hope has been a very coachable athlete through my experiences with her at our summer camps.  She is eager for daily improvement and has good power on her swing.  Having played for Coach Janna Van Donge at Unity Christian, Hope has a solid volleyball knowledge base as an outside hitter, on which she can continue to develop here at Dordt College," says Dordt College volleyball coach Chad Hanson.

Hope  is the daughter of Tim and Pam Kramer.  She plans to study actuarial science at Dordt College.
