Dordt College seniors show art work

April 17, 2013

The final senior art exhibit of the spring semester will be displayed through April 28 in the Dordt College Campus Center Art Gallery. A reception, open to the public, will be held Saturday, April 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with presentations from the artists at 6:15 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Senior art exhibits are an opportunity for the area and college community to see the final portfolios—many produced in professional settings and on-the-job work projects—and best work of graduating art majors. The exhibit is free to the public every day from 7 to 10 p.m.

Regan Katje, a business administration and graphic design art major from Orange City, Iowa, is exhibiting her graphic design and photography portfolio.

Camille Pechin, a fine arts studio and art history major from Mesa, Arizona, is displaying paintings, photography, lithography, and ceramics.

Emily McFarland, a psychology and fine arts studio major from Winchester, Kansas, is displaying paintings, drawings, handmade book arts, and a major installation piece.

The Dordt College Department of Art and Design offers an art major in five areas of emphasis, including studio fine art, graphic design, art history, art education, and pre-architecture.
