Softball Adds Recruit

(Tuesday, December 17; Sioux Center, Iowa)Danielle Stosuy-Henderson, a senior at Bloomington Christian (California), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender softball program.

Stosuy-Henderson batted .586 as a junior with 34 runs batted in.  During her freshman and sophomore seasons she batted .649 and .485 respectively and had a combined 60 runs batted in.  She has over 400 career strikeouts on the mound and recorded eight shutouts last season with a 1.35 earned run average, 180 strikeouts and 32 bases on balls. Stosuy-Henderson is a three-time all-league selection and was a second-team all-state selection in 2013 and also claimed All-Inland honorable mention.

Danielle is the daughter of Kathleen Stosuy of Rialto, California.  She plans to study Kinesiology at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
