Bajema To Attend Dordt College

(Friday, January 3; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Benjamin Bajema,  a senior at McKinney Christian Academy (Texas), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football and track and field programs.

Bajema earned first team all-district honors multiple times and was chosen to participate in the Tom Hillary DFW All-Star game.  He’s listed 6-4, 217 pounds and played defensive end and offensive line in high school.

Bajema was a member of a state champion 4 x 200 meter relay team as a junior and also qualified for the state meet in the discus.   He placed third in the 200 meters at the district meet as a sophomore at the district meet.

Bajema earned Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) 3A Academic All-State Awards in Football, Wrestling and Track as a junior at Mickinney Christian.

Benjamin is the son of Rick and Melodie Bajema of Plano, Texas.  He plans to study Engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
