Jansen Inks With Dordt Men's Soccer

Luke Jansen, a senior at Central Wisconsin Christian, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender men’s soccer program.

Jansen, a 6,1”, 155 pound midfielder is a two-time recipient of the Wisconsin Flyway Conference Most Valuable Player Award and is a three-time first team all-conference selection and a unanimous choice for that honor in 2012 and 2013. Jansen is the first ever Central Wisconsin Christian player to be named to the Wisconsin All-State “Best of the Rest” which recognizes the top players that are just outside the Elite 11.

Jansen was named Central Wisconsin Christian’s Most Valuable Player in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and was the first ever Crusader to serve as a team captain for three seasons.  Jansen is the CWC career record holder in goals (84), assists (61) and points (229) and in 2013 set the single season marks in all three of those categories as well, with 35 goals, 21 assists and 91 points.

Jansen helped the Crusaders to regional championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and a sectional championship and state qualification in 2011.  In 2012 and 2013, Jansen helped CWC to back to back Flyway Conference Championships.

Jansen also competes with the North Shore Soccer Club.

Luke is the son of Dale and Jean Jansen of Waupun, Wisconsin and he plans to major in Business at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
