Brinkerhoff Added to Defender Men's Soccer

Stephen Brinkerhoff, a senior at Veritas Christian Academy in New Jersey, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender men’s soccer program.

Brinkerhoff, a 6 foot, 185 pound midfielder and forward for the Lions has amassed 96 goals and 46 assists over his high school career, netting 35 goals and adding 24 assists during his senior season. Brinkerhoff helped the Veritas Christian Lions to Metro Christian Athletic Association (MCAA) League Championships and Tournament Championships in  2010, 2011 and 2013 while finishing runner up in both in 2012.  The Lions also garnered the Faith Tournament title in 2010 and 2011 while finishing second in 2012 and 2013.

For his efforts, Brinkerhoff was named an MCAA League All-Star in 2012 and was the MCAA League Most Valuable Player in 2013.

Stephen is the son of Tim and Lori Brinkerhoff of Branchville, New Jersey and he plans to major in Pre-Physical Therapy.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
