Cook To Join Defender Football

(Friday, February 7; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Jacob Cook, a senior at Council Bluffs Lewis Central (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Cook has earned first team all-city honors and second team all-district honors while also claiming second team all-Western Iowa honors for his offensive line play.  He was a three year starter and helped Lewis Central to back to back playoff appearances in Class 3A.  Cook also played defensive line and had 28 total tackles and three tackles for loss.  He’s 6-0, 275 pounds and played offensive guard and defensive tackle.

Jacob is the son of Kevin and Angie Cook of Council Bluffs, Iowa.  He plans to study Civil Engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
