Granstra To Attend Dordt College

(Friday, February 7; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Jeffrey Granstra, a senior at Western Christian (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Granstra played linebacker this season as the Wolfpack earned a spot in the Iowa High School Playoffs.  Granstra had 37 solo tackles and 101 assisted stops and recovered four fumbles.  Granstra leaves Western with the most tackles in school history with 212.  He earned all-district honors multiple times and was on back to back playoff teams.  Granstra is 6-1, 200 pounds.

Jeffrey is the son of Darin and Lori Granstra of Sheldon, Iowa.  He plans to study Animal Science at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
