Football Picks Up Pelot

(Friday, February 7; Sioux Center, Iowa) Griffin Pelot, a senior at Escondido High School (California), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.
Pelot was a three time all-academic selection in two sports and earned second team all-Avocado East honors. He was nominated for and played in the San Diego All-Star Football Game. A multi-sport athlete, Pelot was a four-year baseball player and wrestled for a season. Pelot also competes in track and field.
Griffin is the son of Scott and Linda Pelot of Escondido, California.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
