Dordt Track Adds Heynen

(Wednesday, February 19; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Josh Heynen,  a senior at Unity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender track and field program.

Heynen has run the sprints for Unity and has personal bests of :11.7 in the 100 meters and :23.9 in the 200 meters.  He was an alternate last year for a pair of state meet qualifying relays.

Josh is the son of Craig and Karen Heynen of Sioux Center, Iowa.  He plans to study Computer Science and Physics at Dordt  College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
