Brooks To Run At Dordt College

(Wednesday, March 5; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Audrey Brooks, a senior at Sioux Falls Christian High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender track and cross country programs.

Brooks has qualified for the South Dakota High School  State Cross Country meet five times and has been a medalist at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 events with a best finish of 14th.  She has personal bests of 15:12 on a 4,000 meter cross country course.  In track and field Brooks was a part of a 4 x 800 meter relay team that won a medal and holds a school record.  She has a personal best of 11:54 in the 3,200 meters and 5:31 in the 1,600 meters.

Audrey is the daughter of Steve and Brenda Brooks of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  She plans to study nursing at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
