Stephens Inks With Dordt Men's Soccer

Conner Stephens, a senior at Colorado Springs Christian School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender men's soccer program.

Stephens, a 6'3", 145 pound central defender has played three years of varsity soccer for the Lions and has served as the team captain for two seasons.  Stephens helped Colorado Springs Christian to a 2011 League Championship and in 2012 the Lions were the Jefferson Academy Tournament champs.

In 2013, Stephens was honored by being selected First Team All-State, Second Team All-Area and First Team All-Conference and in 2012 he was the Lions' Most Valuable Player while also being selected First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State.

Stephens has also played 12 years of club soccer for the Pride Soccer Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Conner is the son of Randy and Karen Stephens of Colorado Springs, Colorado and he plans to major in Mechanical Engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
