Ackerman Added To Dordt Football

(Monday, March 17; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Sam Ackerman, a senior at Sioux Falls Christian High School (South Dakota) has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Ackerman played offensive and defensive line for the Chargers and earned all-city and all-DAK-12 Conference honors and he claimed honorable mention accolades from the Big East Conference.  Ackerman is listed 6-3, 250 pounds.

Sam is the son of Tim and Pam Ackerman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  He plans to study criminal justice at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
