Wolterstorff Named Scholar-Athlete

(Monday, March 17; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Tyler Wolterstorff has been named an NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Daktronics-Scholar-Athlete  for the recently concluded 2013-14 season.

Wolterstorff, a junior from Sioux Center, Iowa, is an accounting major.  He averaged 11.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in helping the Defenders to a 28-6 record and a berth in the NAIA Division National Championship field. Earlier this monthWolterstorff was named an All-GPAC honorable mention selection.

134 student-athletes were named 2013-14 Daktronics-NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Scholar-Athletes.

Student-athletes are nominated by their institution's head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order qualify for the honor.
